The History of the Tennis Bracelet
During a tennis match at the US Open in the 1980s, star player Chris Evert gained international attention when her bracelet dramatically fell off and broke – over her incredible skills, this turned out to be the real show stealer. The piece, previously called an eternity bracelet due to the way it was constructed, then became known as a 'Tennis Bracelet'. Game, set, stack.
Notes on Design
We wanted to create a collection inspired by the timeless Tennis Bracelet, but with a contemporary twist. Our new bracelets come in either a more classic style, or one with a more rounded articulated design – the Missoma-fied version –both responsibly made from 100% recycled gold and silver. For even more Tennis, look to our necklaces, hoops, and rings too – pieces perfect for everyday stacking or adding shine for party season. Another fact about this collection? This is the first time we've ever included both demi-fine and fine (18ct gold vermeil and 14ct solid gold) styles together. There really is something for everyone.
